German giants dismantle amateur side in emphatic fashion

Bayern Munich began their pre-season campaign in style as they thrashed amateur side Rottach-Egern 27-0 on Saturday.

The German giants were in ruthless form as they ran riot at their Tegernsee training ground, with new signing Sadio Mane among the goalscorers.

Mane, who joined Bayern from Liverpool this summer, opened the scoring in the 12th minute and went on to score a hat-trick.

Other goalscorers for Bayern included Robert Lewandowski (4), Thomas Muller (2), Serge Gnabry (2), Leroy Sane (2), Jamal Musiala (2), Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich, Alphonso Davies, and Ryan Gravenberch.

The victory is a positive start for Bayern as they prepare for the new season, which begins on August 5th with a Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
