Roland Garros: Corentin Moutet is French Open's last hope

French player Moutet continues dazzling despite being the lone Frenchman remaining in the tournament

Corentin Moutet has been in dazzling form at the French Open, becoming the last French player remaining in the tournament. The 23-year-old has overcome Sebastian Ofner and Jannik Sinner in straight sets to reach the fourth round, where he will face world number one Novak Djokovic. Moutet is the only French player to reach the fourth round of the men's singles tournament since Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2016.

Moutet's success is a welcome boost for French tennis, which has been struggling in recent years. The country has not produced a Grand Slam champion since Yannick Noah won the French Open in 1983. Moutet's performance has given hope that France can once again be a force in tennis.
