Nancy Mace Considers Trump Running Mate Role, Slams Stephanopoulos for Bullying

Mace Intrigued by VP Possibility, Calls for Border Solutions

Washington, DC – July 22, 2024

South Carolina Republican Representative Nancy Mace has expressed her intrigue at the possibility of being on former President Donald Trump's shortlist for running mate in the upcoming presidential election. Mace, who has openly criticized Trump in the past, described the potential opportunity as "intriguing" and said she would consider it if asked.

In a recent interview, Mace also voiced her frustrations over the lack of border security measures in the United States. She accused the Biden administration of failing to address the issue effectively and called for comprehensive solutions to curb illegal immigration and drug trafficking.

Mace's comments come amid ongoing speculation about Trump's potential running mates for the 2024 election. Several high-profile Republicans, including former Vice President Mike Pence, have been mentioned as possible candidates.

Separately, Mace criticized ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos for his interview tactics during an appearance on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" on Sunday. Mace accused Stephanopoulos of attempting to "bully" her during the interview and failing to allow her to fully express her views.
