Khelif, who is making her Olympic debut, won her first fight in the welterweight division on Saturday against Angela Carini of Italy. Khelif won the fight by a score of 3-2.
Khelif is now scheduled to face Lin Yu-ting of Taiwan in the quarterfinals on Tuesday. Lin is also making her Olympic debut.
