Murray Wins Seventh Shanghai Title

Andy Murray defeated Roberto Bautista Agut in straight sets 7-5, 6-4 to win his seventh Shanghai title. As of his victory in the Shanghai Masters, Murray has won 46 career titles, including three of this year's four Grand Slams. After his win, Murray confirmed his status as World No. 2 in the year-end ATP Rankings.

Second Straight Title, Fourth Consecutive Final

The Shanghai Masters win is Murray's second title in a row. This marks a return to form after an injury-hit 2017 season. It is also the second time and fourth consecutive year that he has defeated Bautista Agut in the Shanghai Masters final. Murray also defeated Bautista Agut in the 2016 Shanghai final.
